Jos. J. Albanese, Inc’s General Engineering Division has enjoyed tremendous success and growth over the last 10 years. Beginning with the notion of being able to grade for curbs (while being in control of staying ahead of our pour crews!), “moving dirt” and asphalt paving are now key services to JJA’s model. JJA’s competent crews, dedicated general engineering staff, and extensive equipment fleet, provides JJA with the ability to successfully and safely get your project out of the ground; beginning with the dirt!

Reveal Apartments Mass Excavation

Client: Z-Con Builders

Scope: Demolition/Mass Excavation/Grading/Paving

JJA Advantage: Jos. J. Albanese, Inc. excavated and off-hauled over 110,000 cy of dirt for over 120,000 sf of future apartment space. JJA results came with the mass excavation portion being completed in just 20 working days and significantly accelerating the project's schedule. With JJA averaging over 5,000 cy off-hauled a day, this project is yet another example of Jos. J. Albanese, Inc. "Just Getting it Done!"

Watson Park Phase 1 & 2 Improvements

Client: City of San Jose, Public Works

Scope: Hazardous Waste Removal, Grading, Tree Removal, Site Concrete, Playground, Restrooms, Paving

JJA Advantage: JJA was the general contractor on this public works project successfully managing over 15 sub-contractors to complete the Watson Park Renovation. The finished product included two soccer fields (natural and artificial), a public restroom building, two playgrounds, two dogparks, and a basketball court. Jos. J. Albanese, Inc. self performed the movement of over 120,000 cubic yards of dirt, 100,000 SF of paving for two parking lots, decomposed granite pathways, and 65,000 SF of flatwork to complete the beautiful renovation for the City of San Jose.
