San Jose State University Student Union
Client: Lathrop Construction Associates
Scope: Structural Excavation, Grading, Structural Concrete, Shotcrete, Site & Architectural Concrete

JJA Advantage: The SJSU Student Union project is a unique, multi-tiered blend of retrofit and new construction that requires an equally unique concrete contractor. With JJA's exceptional field personnel, proactive management, and vast equipment capabilities, the JJA team has been able to aggressively push the project forward while still paying close attention to the minute details and particulars as shown in the stepped lecture hall slab pictured here (18' walls shown were placed with the shotcrete method).

Alma Plaza Mixed Use
Client: W.L Butler, Inc.
Scope: Structural Concrete, Shotcrete, Site & Off-site Concrete, Mass Excavation, Grading/Paving

JJA Advantage: The Alma Plaza project highlights JJA's "one stop shop" capabilities - beginning with the mass excavation through the structural concrete and finishing with the site concrete and paving, JJA has been able to push the schedule with every activity that it is involved with. JJA's experienced crews completed this two-level, 20,000 SF concrete structure ahead of schedule. And the workmanship speaks for itself: W.L. Butler, Inc. and the ownership group are very pleased with the finished product (pictured here is the 18' high second level).

Santa Clara University Graham Residence Hall
Client: Hallmark Construction
Scope: Demolition, Grading, Structural Concrete, Reinforcement, Site Concrete, Masonry

JJA Advantage: This project showcases JJA's ability to push the schedule through self performing multiple trades. This unique JJA advantage allows our clients to gain time on their schedule. The Graham Residence Hall is another example of Jos. J. Albanese, Inc. being the first subcontractor on site through the demolition and the last with the site concrete.

Good Samaritan Medical Office Building & Parking Garage
Client: Hensel Phelps Construction Company
Scope: Structural Excavation, Structural Concrete, Site Concrete

JJA Advantage: JJA placed 187 cubic yards of heavy weight concrete; the material was too heavy to pump forcing JJA to utilize its conveyor belt. The heavy weight concrete used on this project costs over $5,000 a cubic yard!

JJA Advantage: Extremely detailed site concrete package including all architectural finishes. JJA used the shotcrete method on the planter and site walls which drastically improved the finishes and the project schedule.
